Dr. Charles Matthews is an internationally recognized scholar and innovative teacher in the field of entrepreneurship. He is Distinguished Teaching Professor of Entrepreneurship & Strategic Management at the University of Cincinnati, the Founder (and long-serving Executive Director) of UC's Center for Entrepreneurship Education & Research, and Director of UC's Small Business Institute. His teaching and research interest include: strategy, entrepreneurship leadership and decision making. His research is extensive and widely published. He has taught many thousands of students, facilitated hundreds of faculty-guided student-based field case studies and served as a consultant to numerous organizations. In addition, Dr. Matthews has entrepreneurial and family business experience in the automotive, photographic and real estate industries. He has served as a delegate on entrepreneurial development in China, Russia and other countries around the world. He has also served in a board and leadership capacity in many entrepreneurship, small business, and leadership organizations.
