Vice President and General Manager of Teledyne Turbine Engines
Mr. Michael Rudy has served as Vice President and General Manager of Teledyne Turbine Engines since 2003. He has over 40 years of extensive experience in the turbine engine market. He has made major contributions to Turbine Engines involving the fundamental research of aero-elastic problems, structural dynamic response, structural analysis, aero/mechanical component design, R&D project management and Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) program management. He was responsible for leading teams in several business directions that led to the qualification of new small turbine engines for tactical weapon systems, delivery of over 5,000 small turbine engines and establishing a world-class advanced manufacturing cell for small turbine engines. Mr. Rudy is also a Charter member and co-founder of the Northwest Ohio Small Turbine Institute at the University of Toledo and a Charter member of the Toledo-Teledyne Business Consortium with the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority in Ohio. During 2012-2014, Mr. Rudy served as a member of the Industrial and Professional Advisory Council (IPAC) for the Aerospace Engineering Department at Penn State University, and was selected as the Outstanding Engineering Alumnus for the same department in April 2010. He is currently a member of the University of Cincinnati Aerospace Engineering Advisory Board and has served on other advisory boards at major universities in the past.
