Dr. Jason Trembly
Assistant Professor of mechanical engineering and associate director of the Ohio Coal Research Center in the Russ College of Engineering and Technology at Ohio University

Dr. Jason Trembly is an assistant professor of mechanical engineering and associate director of the Ohio Coal Research Center in the Russ College of Engineering and Technology at Ohio University. Dr. Trembly has expertise in thermocatalytic process development including biomass conversion, clean coal technology, wastewater cleanup, life cycle assessments, and process economics. With $3.5 million in state and federal grants, Dr. Jason Trembly and the Institute for Sustainable Energy and the Environment (ISEE) at the Russ College of Engineering and Technology are working to solve the problem of cleaning the wastewater byproduct of the mining process associated with hydraulic fracturing operations. Trembly and fellow researchers are teaming with industry to develop, demonstrate and commercialize an innovative flowback/produced-water management process.
