Being a business incubator, the Innovation Center provides resources and guidance that startup businesses need and otherwise often cannot afford, thereby maximizing the chances for a startup's success.
c05 Small Business Development Center at Ohio University Ms. Lissa Jollick, Center Director, Athens SBDC The SBDC at Ohio University provides support for new entrepreneurs and existing business owners. (Note: Similar SBDC's also can be found in Cambridge, Logan, Marietta, Piketon, Pomeroy and Zanesville in SE Ohio.)
Ms. Jollick discusses the many services the OU SBDC provides to help people start, sustain and grow their businesses.
c06 Lawrence Economic Development Corporation Mr. Bill Dingus, Executive Director The Lawrence Economic Development Corporation was formed in 1983 and was designated the economic development agent for the City of Ironton and Lawrence County. The goal of the agency is job creation and retention as well as to provide assistance in community enhancement projects such as the construction of parks and community centers throughout the county to help the citizens of Lawrence County.
c07 Muskingum County Business Incubator for Entrepreneurs Mr. Larry Triplett, Executive Director, Muskingum County Business Incubator The Muskingum County Business Incubator in Zanesville provides a full range of business incubation and support services The Muskingum County Business Incubator not only provides business incubation and business planning services, but also partners with TechGROWTH Ohio and the Small Business Development Center in Zanesville to provide a full range of other business startup support services.
