BGSU Hatch Jr. Pitch Competition Winners
During a 10-week program, 350 students from four different Toledo high schools worked with mentors from BGSU and the University of Toledo to brainstorm ideas for potential products and services. Once an idea was developed, the students worked to create a STEM business or commercialization plan and "pitched" their new product at the competition.
On April 28, 2016, the students took the stage at BGSU and pitched 11 different business ideas to a panel of judges at The Hatch Junior, an event setup similar to the hit TV Show "Shark Tank."
In addition to pitching their ideas, judges kept student's on their toes, asking detailed questions about their potential ideas.
